Slow Roll Out

Summer 2023 is just the beginning…

Whimsy by Tori D is finally a reality! I’ve wanted to get back into jewelry making for a while, and I’m so thankful to get the opportunity to do just that.

I have a million ideas that I want to try, but time and experience have taught me that I cannot do everything at once. Currently I am still working full time, consulting on the side, and pursuing a doctorate. So, yeah, I’m doing too much already. So how do I plan to manage it all?

A slow roll out. What does that mean? Instead of launching all upcoming products at once, they will be introduced gradually.

Here’s what that looks like:

  • Summer 2023 is the initial launch! It will consist of 7 styles in 4 colorways, which will be available on July 1. Those will be available for a limited time, until about two weeks before the Fall 2023 line (date will be announced).

  • From there, additional styles and colors will be added to the store regularly. These will be the more long-term items that will range from simple and sophisticated to big and bold. New items will be previewed online before they drop!

So what’s after that? Regular seasonal lines, custom creations, collabs with other artists… There’s a lot I want to do! As I get into my flow, new releases will be offered on a regular basis and the number of products will grow. But for now, small beginnings! I hope you stick around to see the amazing things that are in store.

In the meantime, go fill up that cart!

why whimsy?

It all begins with an idea.

What’s in a name?

When thinking about what to name my new jewelry business, I had a number of possibilities that ran through my mind. Ultimately I had to think about what kind of vibe I wanted my pieces to have. And really, I wanted it to be a reflection of me.

Unique.

Fun.

Creative.

Unexpected.

Not taking itself too seriously.

Whimsy perfectly encapsulated that. These pieces are meant to be eye-catching but not presumptuous. Throw them on with jeans and a t-shirt or add them to stand out at an after-5 affair.

I wanted the name to attract the clientele, and the art to confirm that they are in the right place.

Welcome to Whimsy.
